3 Hour Glenbrook Gorge

Small group tours exploring Glenbrook Gorge, a hidden gem at the foot of the Blue Mountains.

Meet and greet
Meet your guide and other participants at Glenbrook, less than an hour drive from Sydney CBD, or a 15 minute walk from the local train station. Please note, parking onsite incurs an $8 fee to National Parks. Precise location will be included in a welcome text.

Learn about our incredible world
As we descend into the gorge, we will have multiple stops along the way to learn about ecosystems, evolution and humanity.

Explore
The adventure begins: the gorge doesn’t have a clear cut path, the track is uneven and requires light scrambling over rocks.

Swim
An opportunity to take a dip in pristine waters against a backdrop of soaring sandstone cliffs and iconic Australian eucalypts.

Bask
We will find ourselves a nice comfy rock to set up on, get out the binoculars and take in our surroundings before heading back the way we came.

Listen to plant music
Using a biosonic device, PlantWave, we will tap into the electrical signals of plants and fungi, and listen to their internal worlds converted into music.

Dive into the microcosm
Using professional grade handheld microscopes, we will explore the microscopic worlds around us. With a magnification of 120x, every structure becomes a different universe.

Conservation talk/wrap up
This world can feel overwhelming and scary, but there are some amazing people doing amazing things. We will talk about some of the projects underway right now that keep me hopeful and inspired before parting ways.
